About the Rush Oak Park Same-Day Surgery Suite

We know that surgery of any kind — even same-day surgery — can be stressful.

That's why our team at the Rush Oak Park Same-Day Surgery Suite works to alleviate your anxiety by making the experience as comfortable, convenient and efficient as possible, while offering you the most comprehensive care with the best outcomes.

We offer the following:

• Convenient bedside registration: Our registrants come directly to you to complete the registration process, instead of shuttling you through outpatient admissions and registration departments.
• Pre-op onsite tests: If you need tests before surgery, we have a team of phlebotomists and EKG techs who come directly to you to administer the tests, with the exception of X-rays and radiology.
• Educating you in advance: Our priority is helping you understand ahead of time what will happen the day of surgery so that you and your family know exactly what to expect. This includes educating you in advance about the discharge process (which we've streamlined for your convenience), so you can leave the hospital sooner after your procedure.
• Our care continues after surgery: You will receive a call from one of our care team within 24 hours after your surgery to make sure all your health needs are being met.
