Abbott and CHEE Collaborate to Deliver Food

Abbott and the Office of Community Health Equity and Engagement collaborated to deliver food to 600 families

Last month, and the Office of Community Health Equity and Engagement combined efforts - in honor of Black History Month - to address hunger and the economic downturn. This multi-pronged event delivered 1.5 weeks of fresh food to 600 families of four or approximately 2400 individuals. Abbott and Rush volunteers distributed food and PPE kits to residents across the West and South Side Chicago Communities. Read more about Rush’s Employee Volunteer Program.

Distribution Locations on the West and Southside included:

  • - food drive served 300 families.
  • - food drive served 30 families.
  • - food drive served 150 families.
  • - food drive serving 15 families.
  • - food drive served 15 families.
  • - food drive served 20 families.
  • - food drive served 10 families.
  • - food drive served 60 families.
