Rush today broke ground on a new 60,000-square-foot outpatient center at North and Harlem avenues in Chicago as part of its commitment to delivering the best care available, close to home at locations across the Chicago area.
Rush North and Harlem will significantly expand access to Rush primary and specialty care for northwest Chicago and suburban patients in near west communities like Oak Park, River Forest and Elmwood Park, by offering some of the most sought-after healthcare services at the former Sears store site.
鈥淭oday marks a significant milestone in our commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare across the Chicago area and Northwest Indiana,鈥 said , president and CEO of Rush Oak Park Hospital. 鈥淭his new outpatient center will be another example of how Rush emphasizes the importance of advancing services into communities. The center highlights Rush鈥檚 commitment to expanding our community reach, which is further realized through the recent openings of Rush Oak Brook, Rush Oak Lawn and Rush Munster.

In addition to primary care and neurology and cardiology services, Rush North and Harlem will offer urgent care services, a full complement of medical and surgical specialties and a complete array of imaging services. The three-story Rush North and Harlem outpatient center will feature the following:
- Approximately 90 rooms, including exam, consult and procedure rooms
- Same-day appointments (for certain specialties and primary care), online scheduling, extended and weekend hours, lab and radiology services
- Surface parking with nearly 200 spaces

Rush North and Harlem is expected to open in mid-2025.
